Community Resources

Every year, Communities In Schools of Renton partners with many local business, corporations and organizations to collect school supplies, personal care items and household supplies to distribute to the families we serve.

In the fall of 2015, 949 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to students in need in the Renton school district through our Family Liaison and Student Success Liaison Programs.  Overall we have supplied 1,590 students with school supplies.

During the summer months, CISR holds a community wide school supply drive and many local businesses and organizations host collection bins for us.  We thank Banner Bank, IKEA, The City of Renton City Hall, Valley Medical Center, First Financial Northwest Bank, Haggen, and Walgreens!

CISR also collects donated personal items and household supplies year round. Items such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, combs/brushes, feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, paper towels, alarm clocks, diapers, wipes, socks, underwear and cleaning supplies are always in great need by the families we serve.

If you would like to donate school supplies, personal items or household supplies to CISR, or for information about hosting a supply drive for CISR, please contact Fawn Perkowsky at 425-430-6658 or .
